How I Work

A brief overview
My work spans movement, health, education, and pain coaching. While the settings may look different, the way I work is consistent across all of them.
This page outlines my professional approach, how I use reflection and learning in my practice, and the boundaries I work within around safety, privacy, anddocumentation. It’s here to offer clarity and transparency, not to set rules or expectations beyond what feels reasonable and proportionate.
My professional approach
I work from an evidence-informed, person-led perspective. That means combining current research with real-world experience, while always responding to the individual in front of me rather than a fixed protocol.
Across all areas of my work, I prioritise:
-
safety — physical, psychological, and relational
-
clarity — explaining what we’re doing and why
-
adaptability — recognising that people learn, move, and change differently
My aim is not to push people to fit a system, but to shape the work around the
person, their context, and their goals.
Reflection and learning in my practice
Reflection is a core part of how I work. It allows me to think carefully about what I’m teaching, how I’m explaining things, and how sessions unfold in practice.
From time to time, this includes using notes or audio recordings of sessions to support:
• accurate documentation
• reflective learning
• professional development
• the creation of anonymised educational material
This is not done routinely for every session, and recordings are never used to assess individuals. They are a tool for learning and accuracy, not evaluation.
Safety, privacy, and documentation
I work with clear boundaries around safety and privacy.
Where recordings or notes are used:
• they are treated as confidential working material
• they are held only for as long as necessary
• raw recordings are not kept long-term
• identifiable voices or personal details are not reused in public or marketing material
Any content retained beyond the immediate purpose is anonymised, summarised, or stored without identifiable audio.
This approach reflects my commitment to safeguarding, proportionality, and respect for the people I work with.
If you have questions about how I work or what to expect, you’re always welcome to ask.
