Dancing with Catherine

Ballroom, Latin, Wedding Dance & FitSteps Exercise Classes
Expert Private Lessons, Fun Group Classes and Dance Fitness with Qualified Teachers in Kent

FitSteps classes are £6.50 each and last for 45 minutes.
After booking, you will be asked to complete the
FitSteps medical form prior to your first class.
FitSteps® is unique. It is the first time that classic Latin and Ballroom dances have been brought together with proven fitness techniques and principles to create not only a programme that can have extraordinarily wide appeal but one that also has the potential to make a real and lasting impact on the health of the nation.
The important point to note is the distinction between the plethora of dance classes that exist and FitSteps®. FitSteps® is a fitness class, delivered through dance. Our emphasis is on helping people towards fitness; structuring the classes to deliver real, measurable fitness results.
Based around twelve of the most popular Latin and Ballroom dances, it also includes non-ballroom Strictly favourites like the Charleston and Argentine Tango.
Dances are broken down into easily learnable sections, each capable of being delivered at varying levels of effort, suitable for people of all fitness levels.
They appeal to all age ranges and classes can be run for mixed age groups with ease. We’re proud to say that we have had people from the age of 9 to 74 participating, all of whom loved the experience.
A dance fitness programme that is:
‘so much fun you don’t even realise you’re getting fit!’

We teach classes for all styles and speeds of dance from the slow and romantic Waltz right through to the hot Argentine Tango.
In our classes you will first learn the basic steps of all the popular dances; Jive, Merengue, Waltz, Salsa, Social Foxtrot, Argentine Tango, Cha Cha Cha etc.
After that, you can discover more steps in the dances you have already learnt, as well as tackling new dances like the Rumba, Quickstep, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Paso Doble and Viennese Waltz.
All this can be just for FUN or to progress onto Exams and Competitions.
We teach across Kent and have a number of different classes varying by levels of experience, from the complete beginners through to the more experienced. Get in touch to find out more.

Here’s everything you need to know but do contact us if we have missed anything.
When should we start our lessons?
For most, we usually recommend starting about 3 months prior to your wedding date. If you’re looking for a more complicated routine or you have limitations with fitting lessons in, it’s a good idea to give yourselves a little longer. However, if your timescales are tight, do not fear. Our record to date is 2 days prior to the wedding!
How many lessons will we need?
Couples average around 5 lessons but some have more for various reasons. It is possible to create your first dance with fewer than this, particularly when pushed for time. However, from experience, couples often regret not allowing themselves the additional time to fully embrace the whole first dance journey.
What days do you offer lessons?
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday daytimes
Wednesday & Friday evenings
